Shannon + Eric

If I were to describe Shannon and Eric on their wedding day I would simply say they were joyful. There was a sincerely celebratory and carefree atmosphere throughout the day as their family and friends cheered these two on and danced the night away. We could also tell that these two have a truly special connection just by listening to their beautiful and heart-felt vows. This group really knew how to party, including Eric’s incredibly vivacious grandmother who was on the dance floor all night long!

As always, we love filming at Aria, and I’m always excited to find new things to capture from a new perspective. It’s always gorgeous and endlessly versatile.

It was a true honor to be a part of Shannon and Eric’s day; we hope you enjoy this Highlight Film as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

“IT IS AMAZING!!!!!! You guys totally blew us away – totally exceeded our expectations. You captured so much fun and joy from the day, and we can’t wait to share it with our family and friends!” -Shannon

Kirstin + Steven

Steven and I lived on the same floor when we where in college, and for a few month stretch we had a pretty entertaining prank war going on. The war ended when Steven threw a very overripe mango into my second story window, which exploded, and ended with all of my belongings being caked in a slimy, fruity film. We lost touch for a long time after that, but about ten years later Steven contacted me and Hannah about filming his wedding in Duluth. Having had ample time to recover from “The Mango Incident” I was excited to re-connect with Steven and meet his finance, Kirstin. Since then the four of us have become friends, and Steven and I came to realize that we have more in common today, then back when we where throwing fruit at each other.

Hannah and I had an incredible time filming a portrait session with these two on the shores of Lake Superior and Lester Park. I want to specifically thank photographer, Russell Heeter, for being amazing to work with and scouting out these beautiful locations. Steven and Kirstin’s day went absolutely perfectly, and Russell played a big role in that! The setting of this wedding really was the best of both worlds for us, Kirstin and Steven’s wedding and reception took place in the historic Greysolon Ballroom in downtown Duluth, but we also got to film in some really beautiful Minnesota nature.

Elise + Kevin

It was remarkable to see the support that Elise and Kevin received from their family and friends who flew in from LA to attended their wedding. Elise’s father who lives in Minnesota was expecting the wedding to be small, and was quite surprised by the California turn out. This beautiful celebration was held at the Wayzata Free Church and Calhoun Beach Club. We loved the floral, especially with the lovely September light illuminating the tables. It’s sometimes these lovely little details that we get excited about!

Chad + Gena

Chad and Gena’s journey to this day started at Lambeau Field during a Packer vs Vikings game. Chad, who was wearing a number four Vikings jersey probably wouldn’t have gotten out of the stadium alive had he not knelt down on one knee and proposed to his seemingly unlikely soul-mate, a die hard Packers fan. Chad and Gena decided to fly up from Florida and tie the knot at her Uncle’s farm near the Wisconsin Dells, and we were excited for the opportunity to film in the community Hannah grew up in. If you’ve ever visited the Dells, you know it’s a little off-beat and quirky place, and this farm was no exception, In fact, one of the barns was once used by Barnum and Bailey Circus to house elephants. We absolutely loved that this place and so much of the decor of this wedding had a personal meaning for Chad and Gena. It truly was their personalities transformed into an event, and this amazingly fun and vibrant event ended like all good Wisconsin barn weddings should, a stellar sparkler send off complete with a fireworks show!
